Philips Norelco Shavers and Bodygroomers history

The Philips Norelco brand is used since 2005 by the Philips consumer lifestyle division. Since then the Norelco brand became famous in US with the Norelco Bodygroom shaver, released in 2006. The Bodygroom was designed as a male body hair shaver and the main reason why it was so popular was because the famous Howard Stern actor featured it in one of his shows.

All in all Philips Norelco had a great marketing campaign in the begining and that contributed to the huge success that it has in the last 5 years.

Now Philips Norelco has products divided into 3 categories:
-male shavers;
-male bodygroomers;
-accessories.
